Accessibility Statement

The website (zdefence.com), including home, pricing, features, signup/login, waitlist, contact, cookie banner/preferences, privacy center, legal pages, and (once released) dashboard/settings/deletion/export/AI surfaces. 1. Our commitment and conformance status

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the surfaces above. Status today: the automated **structural** sweep (`node scripts/a11y.mjs`, 2026-10-03, 13 routes: home, pricing, features, a feature page, sign-in, sign-up, legal index, privacy, privacy center, cookie preferences, accessibility, security, security report) reports zero blocking findings (names, labels, alt text, landmarks, duplicate ids, lang). The **manual** pass (keyboard-only traversal, screen reader, measured contrast, 200% zoom / 320px reflow, forced colors, mobile) is still pending, so we do not claim 'WCAG compliant', 'fully accessible' or EAA conformance. This statement will be updated with the manual-pass date, methods and results once completed.

Jurisdiction overlays: EU EAA obligations for covered products/services from 28 Jun 2025 (confirm consumer-service scope); UK Equality Act reasonable adjustments; US ADA/Unruh litigated baseline (treat WCAG 2.2 AA as practical); Canada AODA/ACA where applicable; Australia DDA; Japan JIS sectoral; Israel Equal Rights law. [LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED per market.]

2. What we have built in

  • Semantic landmarks (header/main/footer/nav), single-h1 hierarchy, skip-to-content link, labelled controls, accessible names, autocomplete on identity fields, table semantics where used.
  • Keyboard: Tab/Shift+Tab/Enter/Escape support; visible focus; logical focus order; focus-trapped-then-restored modals (waitlist, auth, cookie preferences); no keyboard traps; accessible accordions/dialogs.
  • Contrast and text: body copy at normal body roles (never tiny grey legal print); contrast-checked palettes; 200% text-resize and browser zoom without loss; forced-colors/high-contrast support.
  • Motion: prefers-reduced-motion respected; no auto-playing audio; captions/transcripts where media ships.
  • Forms and errors: associated labels, error identification + suggestions, required/optional marked, no placeholder-only labels.
  • Legal/consent surfaces: readable sizes, real headings, list semantics, banner/preferences operable by keyboard + screen reader.

3. Known limitations and alternatives

Automated structural sweep completed 2026-10-03 (results: compliance/reports/accessibility-sweep.md). Still pending: manual keyboard-only traversal, NVDA/VoiceOver screen-reader passes, measured contrast of every text/background pair, 200% zoom and 320px reflow, mobile TalkBack/VoiceOver, and Windows High Contrast. An account/login surface is provided by Clerk, so its inner controls are governed by Clerk's own accessibility work as well as our wrapper. If you encounter a barrier, email support@zdefence.com with the page, browser/AT and what you tried — we will provide an alternative (e.g. assisted waitlist signup, phone/email support) within 2 business days.

4. Feedback, review and version
